Another Winter Event Coming ...

And this is why they call this Farm Show Weather ...

// begin

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF SIX INCHES OR MORE ARE POSSIBLE FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT IN ASSOCIATION WITH AN APPROACHING STORM SYSTEM MOVING EASTWARD THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY. SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN MAY MIX IN AT TIMES ACROSS THE SOUTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND LOWER SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY WITH REGARD TO THE EXACT TRACK OF THE SYSTEM...WHICH WILL ULTIMATELY INFLUENCE STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS AND PRECIPITATION TYPES.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW... SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL.

// end

However, just watched News 8 @ 5 and Doug Allen seemed to downplay the storm. He said that the threat of storm should be low and that the storm track is too uncertain to make a full prediction.

I will keep you up to date with all the latest and will post an update as necessary.

Stand by for a 15 stories.
