So, yesterday was a very historic day ...
How best to capture that moment than by listing (in my opinion) the best newspaper front pages from the USA. Complied through Newseum's website. It is probably best that you right click the links and open new window and/or tab. Make sure you see these today however, because these are not forever links.
1. The Tuscaloosa News - Tuscaloosa, AL.
2. Arizona Daily Star - Tuscon, AZ.
3. The Fresno Bee - Fresno, CA.
4. Oakland Tribune - Oakland, CA.
5. Pueblo Chieftain - Pueblo, CO.
6. St. Petersburg Times - St. Petersburg, FL.
7. The Times - Gainesville, GA.
8. Daily Herald - Arlington Heights, IL.
9. Star-Tribune - Minneapolis, MN.
10. The Patriot-News - Harrisburg, PA.
11. The Salt Lake Tribune - Salt Lake City, UT.
12. Green Bay Press-Gazette - Green Bay, WI.
And for kicks ... how about some international newspapers:
13. The Courier-Mail - Brisbane, Australia
14. Jamaica Observer - Kingston, Jamaica
15. Virgin Islands Daily News - Charlotte Amalie, Virgin Islands.
If you can't view it today. Do not fear. The Newseum site will more than likely have this on archieve soon. This should be another great banner day for newspapers. Notice that I had to include Harrisburg's Patriot-News. Personally, I don't think it was as good as the Election Day result headline, but still, a 2 page poster sized front is a nice and grand idea.
And people say that newspapers are dead! Take that, internet!
