10 stories 12/14/2008

Good Sunday morning!  It is officially 14 days to Christmas and as each day pass, it becomes less and less likely for a SusquValley White Christmas.  I say that, even as Monday's predicted high is to be in the mid 50's.  So, the only way we might be able to experience that is if you put in one of those classic Christmas movies in your DVD player.  I hope i'm wrong, but better luck next year.

Now, onto today's 10 Stories ...

Story 1 ...

Story 2 ...
President Bush made a farewell visit to Iraq.  It was a surprise visit.  I guess you would have to go to the place where you started a war without due reason, eh?  Story from WPVI-TV Philadelphia, PA.

Story 3 ...
Maybe burning the midnight oil isn't so good thing after all.  A California town council is fed up with the mayor's late night workings, so they have imposed a curfew limiting his hours of work.  Story from WBAY-TV Green Bay, WI.

Story 4 ...
A Amber Alert has been issued for a Berks County 11 Year Old.  Details on this still breaking/developing story from WGAL-TV Lancaster, PA.

Story 7 ...
British archaeologists have unearthed a surprising and startling discovery ... a 2,000 year-old brain.  Story from Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - Little Rock, AR.

Story 10 ...
Everyone expected Tim Tebow from Florida to win the Heisman Trophy last night.  Well, Tim was denied.  It was Sam Bradford from Oklahoma.  Details from The Journal-News - White Plains, NY.

And finally, a 11th story for this Sunday ...

Everyone thinks that The Patriot-News, the leading newspaper in South Central PA has liberal tendencies.  They endorsed Obama for president and people complain about the editorials for liberalness.  It has been said that Harrisburg, Carlisle and Lebanon city areas are the 2nd most conservative region in the entire USA.  Well, perhaps the Patriot-News found religion.  They had a huge special report in today's Sunday Patriot-News about faith healing.

Have a great Sunday!
