10 Stories .... 12/7/2008

Good Morning ....

First of all, today is the Anniversary of Pearl Harbor.  May the souls that lost their lives that day be always remembered.

Story 1 ....
If you thought that Hilary Clinton as Secretary of State designate was the worst kept political secret in a real long time, this might be the worst kept media secret.  The AP, via Richmond, VA ABC staton WRIC-TV reports that NBC News' DAVID GREGORY is the new host of 'MEET THE PRESS'.

Personally, not my top choice, but we should give him a try I guess.  Congratulations.

Story 2 ....
A story breaking/developing from Miami's WPLG-TV .... 2 planes crash in the Everglades.

Story 3 ....
You heard of white collar jobs right?  Well how about 'pink' collar jobs?  WCVB-TV in Boston reports that secretary's and clerks are now feeling the job cuts.

Story 4 ....
In another story from the AP via KVOA-TV in Tucson .... Talk about ambition.  A taxi driver who has his MBA who has been unlucky in finding work in his field, has took the step to post his resume in his taxi cab.  Very cool and great idea.

Story 5 ...
And finally from our TV stations, this from WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh .... A preview on perhaps the most anticipated NFL games this sunday, Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers.  Go Cowboys!

Story 6 ...
In the first story from newspapers across the USA .... this story from Wyoming Tribune-Eagle in Cheyenne, WY., about Pearl Harbor and a survivors recall of that date that will forever live in history.

Story 7 ....
President-Elect Barack Obama warns that there will be more economic concern and worry in the next few months .... this story from The New York Times.  At least he warns us now, unlike the horror we been through for the past 8 years, eh?

Story 8 ...
The Columbus Dispatch from Columbus, Ohio asks where 9/11 will be this generations Pearl Harbor.  I think that answer would be a fast and easy answer.

Story 9 ....
Talk about a 2-1 deal .... the Nevada Appeal of Carson City, NV has a really neat dumb criminal story for you to read.

Story 10 ....
And finally, this from New York Post in NYC .... the NFL has routinely told it's players, that if they are in a bind, don't call the police .... call us.  This is almost eerily similar to PSU's famed Joe Paterno.  JoePA is almost referred to as 'the law' in PSU.  Maybe this is crossed over to the NFL now ....

I hope you all have a great day.
