10 Stories ... 12/9/08

Good morning.

If you are tired of cold weather, I have good news for you.  A warm front will move through the area later today and overnight tonight, and we will get to 55 degrees by Wednesday.  But, rainy weather will prevail. As if that isn't enough, we may have to pay attention this weekend to a possible Nor'easter.  Stay tuned.  I will keep you up to date with the latest as it comes in.

Now, time for today's 10 stories.

Story 1 ...
We start off with a stupid criminal story from Houston.  A man breaks into a school, makes a mess, raids the refrigerator and then takes a nap.   This story from KHOU-TV Houston.

Story 2 ...
Keeping active sometimes is a tough job.  Even in the winter months, when it is so cold outside.  So, how about some ideas?  WKMG-TV in Orlando, gives you just that.

Story 3 ...
Looks like Jay Leno is staying with NBC after all.  NBC made a landmark and unique deal that will give the current 'Tonight Show' host a 5-night a week, 10PM slot, beginning mid point next year.  Details from KAIT-TV, Jonesboro, AR.

Story 4 ...
Maybe going nuclear isn't the answer.  That is what some of the world's leading people are saying and they have a plan to bring that notion forward.  This story from WFTX-TV Cape Coral, FL.

Story 5 ...
I know times are rough and everything for most people, but this is just sad.  Someone placed a fake $100 in a Salvation Army kettle.  Details on this horrible thing from WFMY-TV Greensboro, NC.

Story 6 ...
Maybe less is more.  Maybe knowing less in this story is even better.  A naked man was robbed of $500, in a cemetery.  Story from Northwest Florida News, Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Story 7 ...
Well you know, chiropractor's know all the right moves to make you feel better .... Some idiot doctor offered $35G for a death of a police man.  This story from The Citizen's Voice, Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Story 8 ...
With all that went wrong with the Mr. Bush way for the past 8 years, how could you possibly defend it?  Well, you do it by having the person that led it all the way defend it.  Details on this story from The Journal News, White Plains, NY.

Story 9 ...
Sometimes, money can't bring you everything.  Sometimes, it brings families arguments and clash.  Exactly what happened here from this story.  Details from The Muskegon Chronicle, Muskegon, MI.

Story 10 ...
And finally this morning:  In what seems to be common sense, the Supreme Court refused to listen to a poor attempt by radical right-wing politicians to ask the Court to throw out the 2008 Presidential election win by President-Elect Barack Obama, because they said that he is not an American citizen.  Story from Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Little Rock, AR.

Have a great day.  Stay warm outside.
