10 Stories ... 12/19/2009

Good evening.

With the winter weather over with for today, let's get onto today 10.  I will have a preview of Sunday's event at the end of the 10 Stories.

Story 1:
The Illinois Governor now said his side of the story.  He says that he is completely innocent and has no plans on stepping down.  Details from WREX-TV Rockford, IL.

Story 2:
Well OJ is officially in prison.  He was transferred to a Northern Nevada jail to serve his jail sentence.  Somewhere, the world is smiling.  Story from KOLO-TV Reno, NV.

Story 3:
50 million passengers per year for a major airport is quite amazing.  That is the case happening in Denver, where they are personally thanking that person.  Details from KMGH-TV Denver, CO.

Story 4:
In a story that sounds more and more like the old time renaissance religious heresy, a Florida church is threatening her to reveal a woman's sex life and sins, unless if she repents.  Story from WTEV-TV Jacksonville, FL.

Story 5:
If you were a president of a nation that was attacked by terrorists, falsely lied about getting into a war with a nation that had nothing to do with that terrorist attack and led your nation into a depression, would you be pictured as relaxed?  I think not.  But that is what Mr. Bush's portrait will be at the National Portrait Gallery.  Story from KTRK-TV Houston, TX.

Story 6:
In a missing toddler case that has captivated the nation, a breakthrough as been brought to the surface.  And it's not a good once.  Caylee Anthony, the toddler who has been missing since last May was found.  Her body was identified as her.  Story and details from Orlando Sentinel - Orlando, FL.

Story 7:
First, Joe the Plumber was nobody.  Just an average American like me and you.  Then John McCain made him famous during a presidential debate, about 2 months ago.  Then came the controversy about Joe and the snooping that went behind it.  Well Ohio Gov. now signed a bill preventing this from happening again.  Story from Dayton Daily News - Dayton, OH.

Story 8:
In a silly new law, making people angry in one Michigan town is against the law.  Story from The Lansing State Journal - Lansing, MI.

Story 9:
Talk about a busy family.  An Arkansas family has welcomed it's 18th child. Yes, 18th.  Story from The News Monroe - Monroe, AR.  I would really hate to see their holiday gift list.  Must be massive.

Story 10:
Troubles continue for newspapers across America.  And now, a new low.  About 500 workers at The Seattle Times, have been asked to take a week without pay.  Details from Seattle Post-Intelligencer - Seattle, WA.

And finally, a quick update on the weather situation.  As of now, snow should arrive by Sunday sunrise and dump as much as 3 inches of snow.  I will post updates Saturday.
