10 Stories: 12/16/08 (Part II)

Story 6:
In the big story this evening in Pennsylvania,  College Football hero and legend Joe Paterno and PSU administration have agreed to extend his contract through the year 2011.  Details this evening from Centre Daily Times - State College, PA.

Story 7:
Sweeping and hard hitting changes are coming to Detroit, Michigan's 2 daily newspapers.  In a move they say are moving with the speed of the times, they are radically going to change their newspapers.  First of all, home delivery will only be made on Thursday's, Friday's and Sunday's.  And that is only the beginning.  Details from Detroit Free Press - Detroit, MI.

Story 8:
So, we all have heard that Lil Wayne got all these Grammy nominations right?  Well, personally, I don't think he's all that.  His rapping voice is quite annoying.  Well, this story from SF Weekly in San Francisco, CA has an interesting story that supports my opinion.  They warn concert-goers NOT to go his show, and they detail his dreadful concert performance reviews.  Yup, he's that bad.

Story 9:
Florida football coach is mad that his team's QB didn't get the Heisman Trophy, again.  He even asked if those voting for any other person if "they actually watch football".  Story from The News-Press - Fort Myers, FL.  My thoughts:  Get over it.  I hope Oklahoma kick's Florida's butt.

Story 10:
And finally ... Another sign of the economic depression this country is getting itself into, the tip top of Ivy League schools, Yale says it is in a $100 million hole for the next year.  Their endowment dropped 13.4%.  Story from The New York Times - New York, NY.

Have a great evening.
